FreeBSD Contribution 10 years anniversary

The day of March 14th, 2011 and announced on the website on March 18th, 2011 in the news.

I received my privilege of being part of the staff committers into the FreeBSD repository as [email protected] mentored by [email protected] and [email protected] cf. welcoming access grant and mentors file.

At that time, FreeBSD was still using cvs and was about to switch to subversion. So, I can say I have experienced the 3 differents version control systems while working on the project because nowadays git is used.

Today, we are 10 years later and I’m still active and doing commits. While my area of focus has shifted a little bit and I was sporadically present in previous years, I’m still very enthusiast about The FreeBSD project and community.

For the next years, I would like and try to focus more on sources aspects of things in FreeBSD. So far, it is a really great and rewarding experience to be part of such big opensource project and collaborate with great individuals distributed all over the world.
